About „Fides. Bulletin of Church Libraries”
ISSN 1426-3777
The periodical is a semi-annual published since 1995 by the Federation of the Church Libraries FIDES. It is printed in A5 format and each issue contains around 200 pages. The periodical provides information about FIDES activity and includes the articles related to historical and current problems of church libraries. The editorial board’s original intention was to provide indispensable information for improving librarian’s skills and tools within library computerization and exchange of experience in this field among theological, seminary, diocese, parish and monastery libraries. Within the years this cooperation was extended to issues such as digitization of collection, creating digital libraries and preparation of the theological bibliography what found reflection in materials published in “Fides”. The columns of “Fides” are open for all (researchers, librarians, practitioners) who wish to address various issues of the church libraries and religious books.
